Epson Perfection V37 or V370 Photo

Epson Perfection V37x Photo is the cheapest and most light-weighted of all the scanning devices we have tested. The blood pictures taken with 2400 dpi can be processed in Dropper Dry Blood Service. Epson Perfection V330 Photo supports placing three blood samples in a column to the scanning area. Epson Perfection V37x Photo is a newer model of Epson Perfection V330 Photo.

Epson Perfection V500 Photo

Epson Perfection V500 Photo has the best price-to-quality ratio. The blood pictures taken with 2400 dpi can be processed in Dropper Dry Blood Service. Dry blood samples can be placed two in a row and three in a column supporting easier and faster scanning of large number of samples compared to Epson Perfection V330 Photo.

Epson Perfection V600 Photo

Epson Perfection V600 Photo is the best slide scanner that we have tested. The blood pictures taken with 2400 dpi can be processed in Dropper Dry Blood Service. Dry blood samples can be placed two in a row and three in a column supporting easier and faster scanning of large number of samples compared to Epson Perfection V330 Photo.

Canon CanoScan 9000F

Canon CanoScan 9000F is the lowest-quality device that we have tested for dry blood scanning. The blood pictures taken with 2400 dpi can be processed in Dropper Dry Blood Service. The optics of CanoScan is not as good as that of Epson Perfections. Dry blood samples can be placed two in a row and three in a column supporting easier and faster scanning of large number of samples compared to Epson Perfection V330 Photo.

Dry Blood Glass Slides and Lancets

For taking a dry blood sample you may use almost any kind of glass slides. 76x22mm glass slides can be ordered from Danlab. Danlab also provides lancets, which most convenient model is Haemolance Plus automatic one-shot lancets. From Danlab you can also find other equipment useful for dry blood scanning like slide boxes, covering gloves etc.
